Problems with G-Mail - error message when sending e-mail


Despite the correct entry of your e-mail account password in OptiOffice (Office-> Settings-> Studio-> E-Mail SMTP Server-> Password): Error: PASSWORD WRONG.
This can be due to two different settings in your G-Mail account.

The error message “Mail Delivery System. Undelivered Mail return to sender ... "occurs when something is wrong with the recipient.

If this doesn't work, there is another setting that you need to adjust.

2. Scroll down on the same page until the area / box "Access by less secure apps" appears. This is set to "OFF". Please activate this function by clicking on it.

Don't worry, OptiOffice is safe!
However, since OptiOffice does not have access to your mobile phone, but communicates directly with Google, a 2-factor identification (confirmation in two steps) is not possible. But that doesn't make it any less secure. If you have any questions, please contact us (mail@optioffice.de)

If you still get an error message despite the adjustment / deactivation of the 2-factor authentication, please open the following link in your browser:


Open the link (red frame). Then you will be forwarded.

A new window / tab opens. Click on "Next" and follow the instructions.
